About

A Melbourne-based pianist Jamie Kim will perform a range of piano repertoire in Kew, Victoria, Australia. Please join for an opportunity to witness her love for music!

Jamie is a music teacher · educator and musician who began playing the piano at the age of four and has been teaching piano since 2017. She enjoys teaching music because she likes to help other people with her musical skills and knowledge. Jamie passed Australian Music Examinations Board [AMEB] Piano Grade 8 examination at the age of 14, and scored High Distinction and Honours in AMEB Theory of Music Grade 4 and 5 examinations respectively. At the age of 17, she commenced studying Bachelor of Music (Performance) at the University of Melbourne. Jamie has also completed Master of Music (Performance Teaching) at the same university, achieving First Class Honours. She has additionally studied Master of Teaching (Secondary) at Australian Catholic University [ACU] and is currently VIT registered. She has also been active as a composer and piano accompanist since 2020 and 2021 respectively. As Jamie has a strong passion and interest in music and music education, one of her life goals is to grow up as a music teacher · educator and musician (mainly pianist and piano accompanist) as much as she can. As a musician, she identifies herself as an autonomous storyteller.
