WAG Trial - New Members
About
Gymnasts must be 5–8 years old as of December 31, 2026.This is a competitive WAG pathway, and all gymnasts attending the trial must have an interest in working towards competition. We are currently seeking gymnasts to join our Development and Pre-Competition Squads ahead of the re-introduction of our Competition Squad in 2027, where competition participation will be compulsory.
While session times are yet to be determined, WAG training days are Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Gymnasts will not train on all of these days initially; however, training hours will increase as they progress through Development, Pre-Competition, and into the Australian Levels Program within the Competition Squad. Gymnasts are expected to attend all training sessions allocated to their squad.
Each level has a minimum training commitment to support skill development. Progression through the pathway requires meeting these training requirements, and gymnasts who are unable to do so will not progress.
We encourage families to carefully consider this commitment before registering for the trial.
