Soundbird is a high-energy live band forged from decades of stage experience and a shared passion for live music. Featuring the renowned Mal Kerslake on guitar and vocals, Matty Old on mandolin, ukulele and guitar, Michael Guz on guitar and backing vocals, Ian Pritchett on bass and backing vocals, and Wayne Keene on drums. The band delivers a tight, dynamic live show shaped by years of experience performing in original acts and touring projects.Having played together in various bands over the years, the members of Soundbird have collectively performed hundreds of successful shows across Australia, building a loyal following through their energetic stage presence, polished musicianship, and genuine connection with audiences. Their versatile repertoire creates a live experience that feels both familiar and fresh, keeping crowds engaged from the first song to their last. Their set spans from modern indie rock, rock, pop, alt-rock classics and iconic sing-along anthem by artists such as Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, The Killers, Kings of Leon, INXS, Simple Minds, Stereophonics, Blink-182, The Rolling Stones, Goo Goo Dolls, Ed Sheeran and many more.
