Understanding Domestic and Family Violence and How You Can Help: A Community Workshop
This interactive workshop is designed to assist people in understanding how to recognise, respond to, and refer appropriately when someone may be experiencing domestic and family violence (DFV).
The training will cover:
- Understanding domestic and family violence and its impacts
- Recognising healthy and unhealthy relationships
- Identifying signs that someone may be experiencing DFV
- Learning safe and respectful ways to respond
- Understanding how and where to refer someone for support
- The role of bystanders and creating safer communities
Training Details
- Date: 21 July 2026
- Duration: 2 hours
- Time: 10am - 12pm
- Location: Ryde-Eastwood Leagues Club – 117 Ryedale Rd, West Ryde
- Delivered by: The Safe Village Project Facilitator
- Includes participant handbook and certificate
- Photo ID will be required to sign into the Club
The workshop includes presentations, discussions, short film clips, and practical activities designed to build confidence and awareness in a safe learning environment.
