Winter Purification: Pranayama, Yin Yoga and Sound Bath

Winter is upon us, and as we spend less time outside in the sun and fresh air, it is important to look after ourselves to increase vitality and boost our immune systems.A build-up of toxins, emotional and energetic stagnation, and lack of movement can potentially lead us to feeling unwell and cluttered in the mind, body and spirit. When our bodies are clean and energy is flowing, we are able to connect with deeper aspects of ourselves. We show up better in the world and just feel better. It's really important to ensure we are purifying and cleansing in the winter.
On June 14th join me for a Winter Purification workshop in which we will honour the niyama – Saucha – which means purification for a cleanse of your mind, body and spirit.
The workshop includes:
Cleansing and warming Yogic Pranayama – We will use pranayama to purify the respiratory system, boost the immune system, clear the mind, improve vitality and regulate the nervous system. Bring you journal to write down any of your favourites to practice at home.
Yin Yoga – This practice of longer, restful holds of poses will focus on targeting the liver, gallbladder and kidney and bladder meridians to detoxify and bring fresh energy through the body.
Sound Bath – The sound bath will activate the parasympathetic nervous system – bringing you into a state of rest, restore and repair. It activates feel good hormones, entrains brainwaves and brings your cells back into a state of harmony.
