Newkulele Festival 2026Festival Strings Workshop featuring Mark Jackson, Jane Jelbart, Sally Carter (Vic) and John Wallace.
Bring your stringed instruments (ukulele, guitar, banjo, mandolin, bass and fiddle) to this workshop under the guidance of accomplished string players that will blend this ensemble into a cohesive unit: Mark Jackson on guitar and ukulele, Jane Jelbart on banjo and ukulele, Sally Carter on fiddle, mandolin and ukulele, and John Wallace on bass and ukulele.
We will play arrangements of music that will sound like a big band but there will be a part for all levels of players and give you some skill development. Whether you like to play riffs, or arpeggiate, or pluck or strum, we have a part for you to play. So bring your stringed instrument and give it a go because you will not want to miss out on the opportunity to play with others like this!
