Landcare Link-up 2026 - Adapting for our Future
About
Landcare and Friends Group representatives (one per group) are warmly invited to this years Mount Alexander Region Landcare Link-up where we will connect and share through game play with The Adaptation Game (TAG) supported by Mount Alexander Shire Council Climate Change Officer, Brendan Garrett.TAG is a board game specifically designed to help individual and communities better understand extreme weather events – such as heatwaves, floods, and fires – and identify practical actions to build personal and community resilience to weather-related challenges. It is based on scientific evidence about how climate change will affect Mount Alexander Shire specifically, exploring practical ways to adapt and contribute to community resilience, as well as understand the projects and programs already being implemented by council and community. The Adaptation Game is a cooperative game where all players work together. You will play with three other people whilst a facilitator guides you through the game.
Over the course of the day, we will share updates of Landcare and conservation projects happening across the Mount Alexander Region and connect informally over morning tea and lunch (provided).
