Fatherhood can be deeply rewarding, deeply challenging, and often both at the same time.
This month's Conversations event is for DADS 😎
New Dads, Young Dads, Nureo-diverse Dads, Step Dads, Grand-Dads, Foster Dads. All the DADS.
It's about Strength, all types of strength
It's about Stress, from every angle
It's about Showing Up, even when it's tough
Many fathers are juggling work, family responsibilities, financial pressures, relationship dynamics and the desire to be present for the people they love. Yet conversations about what fathers are really experiencing often remain behind closed doors.
Join us for an honest and engaging evening of conversation as four local fathers share their experiences, challenges, insights and lessons from the journey of fatherhood so far.
Together we'll explore questions such as:
• What has been your experience of being a father in today's modern world?
• How do men navigate stress, responsibility and expectations?
• Where do fathers find support, purpose and community?
This is not a parenting workshop or expert lecture. It is a space for genuine conversation, reflection and connection.
Whether you're a father, parent, partner, grandparent or community member, we invite you to join us as we explore one of life's most important roles.

He created the Fire And Water method, which is a meditation practice now being taught in over 15 countries and 20 different industries and niches. 💫 Paul Guilfoyle – Men's Group Facilitator & Dad
Paul is a father, community advocate, men's group facilitator and counselling student with a deep passion for supporting men's mental health and wellbeing. His own journey has included experiences of bullying, social anxiety, relationship breakdown, financial hardship, homelessness, and the heartbreak of child alienation. Through these challenges, Paul found strength in community, sport, and meaningful connection. After becoming involved in men's health initiatives and support groups over many years, Paul recognised a need for local support in Woolgoolga and founded the Woolgoolga Men's Support Group in 2024. Today, he facilitates the group while volunteering in the community, studying counselling, and raising his 11-year-old son. Passionate about helping others navigate life's challenges, Paul brings lived experience, compassion, and an honest perspective on fatherhood, resilience, mental health, and the importance of connection.
💫 Johnny – Naturopath, Movement Coach & Dad
Johnny is a father to two littlies and deep in the early parenting years. He is finding his way to do it all - to be a present father, supportive partner, work with people as that’s what he’s truly passionate about; and remain strong, flexible and resilient within himself.
Johnny’s background sits at the intersection of: Naturopathy + Nutrition + Exercise science + Strength and movement training
But more importantly his work is grounded in a simple principle:
The body restores itself when the foundations are rebuilt.
When nourishment improves.
When the nervous system feels safe.
When movement is reintroduced intelligently.
When stress is applied progressively rather than aggressively.
Health returns. Not through hacks or quick fixes. Through consistent, intelligent rebuilding of capacity. Johnny is truly passionate about people; in particular men who are also “trying to do it all”
He realised that - Busy responsible men are not struggling because they lack discipline. They are struggling because their bodies are carrying more stress that they currently have capacity to handle.
