Building Strong Mathematicians at SCPS – Parent Workshop
At South Coogee Primary School, we are committed to strengthening students’ confidence, capability and success in mathematics. As part of this ongoing focus, we have engaged the Mathematical Association of Western Australia (MAWA) to work alongside our school community.
We are excited to offer a MAWA Maths Parent Workshop designed specifically for our families.

This engaging and practical session will help parents understand how maths is taught in today’s classrooms and provide simple, effective strategies to support learning at home.
Parents will explore:
• How children develop mathematical understanding
• Practical ways to build number sense and problem solving
• Games and routines to support fluency
• Strategies to build confidence and reduce maths anxiety
This workshop reflects our whole-school commitment to building positive, successful maths experiences for every child.
We look forward to learning together as a community.
