Learn to sew from scratch, or revive an old skill, at this beginner sewing workshop. You’ll discover the secrets behind your own machine, and walk away with a handmade tote bag.This is a 4-hour course and will cover:
Part One: Know your machine (1 hour)
Learn how to confidently thread your machine
Fil and replace bobbins
Recognise the different feet and how to change them
Change the width and length of your machine stitches
Part Two: Make a simple tote bag (3 hour)
Expand your knowledge gained in Part One
Make and attach a patch pocket
Insert a zip and attach internal pocket
Methods for turning straps (2 different methods)
Construct your bag
Finishing touches
