About
Partnering for Performers is for performers who want to up skill, learn or refine their dance partnering in a relaxed and learning focused environment.Leah and Liam will share common skills seen within commercial dance and musical theatre contexts, with the aim to grow each individuals confidence and trust to safely partner with a diverse range of people and movement backgrounds.
The focus will be on developing communication, coordination, and physical awareness through exploring different points of connection between bodies, weight sharing, counterbalance, grips, holds and movement pathways.
About us:
Leah is an experienced dance teacher and dancer, having worked across TV, stage, theatre and commercial settings. She is currently teaching students at the VCA (musical theatre) and Showfit.
Liam is a well known dancer and performer, who has worked extensively across commercial, stage, and live performance. With an initial background in classical ballet, Liam's fundamental understanding of how to partner has been crucial to his success and versatility.
Leah and Liam have both been shaped by the generosity of their mentors sharing their knowledge of partnering. They are inspired to give dancers the opportunity to learn and practice in a positive and social environment.
