- Why emphasising transferable skills misses the mark for Year 12 students and what to focus on instead.

- How to collaborate more effectively with parents and understand their role in the Career Support Team.

This session is designed for career practitioners who work with Year 12 students.
Q: I've already read Unserious Careers and/or seen Alana's student presentation, should I still attend?
Short answer: Yes
Long answer: While Alana will touch on some of the content from her book (e.g. the Casual Jog Years), this session will be more focussed on the insights she's gained from schools and how to engage parents in more effective career conversations.
Q: When and how does the session take place?
The session is live online via Zoom. You’ll receive the link in your confirmation email after registering and an option to add the event to your calendar.
