We warmly invite all pre-service, graduate teachers, and teachers specialising in Mathematics to attend the Mac.Rob Graduate & Maths Teacher Open Day at the Mac.Robertson Girls' High School on Wednesday, July 15th, to learn more about our school, meet our staff and students, and discover how a teaching role at Mac.Rob can help your career flourish.

The Mac.Robertson Girls’ High School, located on Bunurong country adjacent to Albert Park, is a government selective entry high school for students in Years 9-12. Formally established in 1934, Mac.Rob plays a vital and inclusive role as one of four selective entry schools in Victoria by ensuring a sense of connection, belonging, and challenge for like-minded, high-achieving young people.

The Mac.Rob Graduate & Maths Teacher Open Day will give pre-service, graduate teachers, and teachers specialising in Mathematics a rare and authentic insight into the experience of teaching at our school, the process for applying for a future position, and the professional support available to early-career teachers.

During the Open Day, attendees will have the opportunity to:

• Learn about Mac.Rob’s teaching and learning approach.

• Hear directly from students about what great teaching looks like.

• Meet with recent graduate teachers and members of the Maths faculty, and ask honest questions about their experiences.

• Explore the extensive support programs offered to new staff, including mentoring, coaching, VIT registration support, and professional learning opportunities.

• Tour the school and network with existing staff over a light morning tea.

The Mac.Rob Graduate & Maths Teacher Open Day is open to all teachers within the first 24 months of graduation, pre-service teachers who are yet to graduate, and teachers of General, Methods, and Specialist Mathematics (of all levels of experience).

To attend the Open Day for 2026, please register by EOD Friday, June 26th. Please note that places are limited, and registration is essential.

More information will be provided to attendees closer to the event, but all are encouraged to bring a copy of their current CV.
