2026 T2 Lantern Festival - Class 4 to Year 7 Families

The Winter Lantern Festival for families and students in Class 4 to Year 7 is a community event that celebrates the warmth of togetherness. It is an evening of singing, storytelling, fire twirling and sharing supper. The festival harmonises us with the seasonal rhythm and highlights the importance of carrying light through darker times, both literally and metaphorically.PARKING
There will be no on-site parking available, unless pre-arranged. Please park off-site in North Arm Road or Tyneside Avenue. Parking is not permitted on Glenroy /Greenfield Avenue.
DRESS
Dress warmly, as the event will be held outdoors.
Primary students may wear sensible, warm, non-uniform clothing.
Year 7 students must wear black school shoes, warm black/navy non-flammable and snug-fitting clothing and a black/navy non-flammable beanie (no loose or flowing clothing/hair is permitted when fire-twirling).
BRING
A mug and spoon for each member of your party and a water bottle.
A picnic blanket or camp chair for parents/carers/grandparents (students will be seated in class groups on tarpaulins).
Contributions of soup and bread (prearranged by Class Parent coordinators).
PLEASE NOTE
Please supervise your children/siblings, as the teachers will not be on duty while leading the festival and celebrating with you.
