About

Inviting children and youth (and their families) with autism, ADHD, and other neurodiverse personalities! Come and meet the friendly youth team at Highlands Community Centres and Highlands Trails mountain bike club. The team will have some bike fun planned or just come along to check out the trails or talk about mountain bike events. This event designed to connect families with local groups over bikes and trails. We’d also love your feedback to help shape more inclusive bike activity in the Highlands.

Who can come?
Neurodiverse children and youth up to 17 years, with their parent/guardian and family members or support workers.

Who will be there?
Stacey and Jarrod from HCC will run some fun activities and make you feel welcome. You will also get the chance to meet the team from Highlands Trails (our local mountain bike club) and talk more about trails and events. We'll send you more information when you sign up so you know who's who on the day and you know what to expect.

Do I have to ride?
No. We understand you might not feel like riding on the day. Everyone is welcome to come along to check out the trails and have morning tea.

Do I need a bike?
If you would like to participate in the riding activities, you will need your own bike in safe working condition. eBikes and your family's bikes welcome.

I'm still a bit unsure - can I talk to someone about the event?
Of course. We recommend booking a spot first, then we'll send you all the contact information so you can ask questions.
