The Great Terrigal Grind 2026 - Surfboat Marathon

In September, Terrigal Surf Lifesaving Club will host its inaugural Surf Boat Marathon "The Great Terrigal Grind" on the Central Coast, NSW.The course runs from Norah Head to Terrigal Beach (approx 25km).
Entry is open to all surf clubs. Multiple boats are allowed to enter.
Surf boats only (no skis, outriggers, swimmers etc).
Participants need to be financial members of any Australian Surf Lifesaving Club.
Crew changes mid-race not allowed.
- Date: Saturday 19th September 2026
- Time: 9am start (duration 2.5 - 4 hours)
- Start Location: Norah Head (launch location TBA)
- End Location: Terrigal Beach
- Divisions: Open Mens & Womens, U23 Mens & Womens
- Presentation: Terrigal Surf Club 12 - 4pm
- Cost: $150 per boat (inc. 5 x race singlets)
Entries strictly close Saturday 8th August.
No late entries.
PRIZE MONEY
- Divisional Winners: $1,000
- Fastest Boat Overall: Additional $500
Presentations, live music and bar open at Terrigal Surf Club following event.

NOTE: Race course is dependant on weather and surf conditions. Course may change prior to the event.
