Librarian for a Day at Rutherford
About
Learn what it takes to be a librarian!Get your mates together and join us for a fun-filled session discovering what it really takes to be a librarian! Head behind the scenes for a special tour of the library, learn how books are borrowed, returned and carefully shelved, and have a go at scanning and sorting them yourself. From helping set up the day’s programs to seeing how everything runs like clockwork, you’ll get a hands-on look at the magic that keeps the library buzzing.
Then it’s time to get creative! Make an official librarian badge and curate your own book display and signage. We’ll pause for some delicious snacks, then get down to choosing books, setting up your display, and proudly showing off your librarian skills. Who knows - you might just discover your future dream career!
Children must be 8 years and over.
