Threatened Plant Conservation Workshop - Eastern Victoria
About
Join conservation practitioners, researchers, community groups, land managers, nursery professionals and volunteers for a day of learning, collaboration and discussion as part of the Preventing Extinction of Victoria’s Threatened Flora Program.This workshop held at Orbost in the East Gippsland region, will bring together people working in plant conservation to share project outcomes and findings, exchange knowledge and experience, and identify priorities and opportunities for the future of threatened plant conservation in Victoria.
What to expect
- Presentations from Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria and La Trobe University on project outcomes and key findings for selected plan conservation projects including orchids, peas, daisies, grevilleas and ferns.
- Guest presentations from project partners and local practitioners
- Case studies and lessons learned from across the region
- Review of current challenges and opportunities
- Group discussions exploring regional priorities and nest steps for threatened plant conservation.
Whether you work or volunteer in research, natural resource management, ecological restoration, community conservation, seed banking, native plant production or land management, your insights and experience are welcome.
