Learning from the Masters with Maxine Wade (SOLD OUT)
Using examples of the great masters, John Singer Sargent and JMW Turner, we will examine their marvellous watercolour techniques to improve your own painting and elevate your understanding of the medium of watercolour.
During the workshop, we will revise wash techniques, study of values, colour mixing, perspective and atmospheric perspective, compositional devices, angle of viewpoint, the use and application of various types of soft brushes, papers and formats.
We will emulate their techniques & processes and we will create 2 paintings that put their practices into action.
