Possum returns to Merri Creek Tavern to celebrate her latest single 'Sorry Bout My Child' joined by very special guests, Not From Melbourne.'Sorry Bout My Child' heralds the release of Possum's debut album 'Paynesville Seafoods', and is a cosy country-influenced hit. The second single from the album, ‘Sorry Bout My Child’ features wailing pedal steel and driving fiddle lines and leans in to country in its undeniable catchiness, humour, and sincerity. Once again Possum’s skill as a lyricist and composer is front and centre, playing with the dualities of humour and darkness, levity and destruction in the way that catches the listener off-guard.
The single follows on from the release of 'Little Bones', which garnered support from local and ABC radio including RRR and PBS, and ABC Gippsland.
Possum will be joined on the night by her amazing and wonderful band, featuring Vinny Russell, Dylan Knur, Stephen Hornby and Pia Nesvara. She will be performing unreleased songs from her upcoming record, Paynesville Seafoods.
