Courtney Robb’s background in the country-folk tradition meets Snooks La Vie’s blues and soul pedigree which together, sees them walk the line between genres with ease and authenticity.
Robb’s charged vocal delivery demands something of her listener as the imperfections and fragility of her stories reveal themselves. Together with La Vie's soaring harmonica and captivating vocals, they create a unique and compelling sound that exudes genuine connection.
When the story always comes first, their performances are a testament to the power of music to evoke emotions, make connections and bridge divides.
JJ FIELDS (SAV PALALKTSOGLOU) BLUES GUITARIST
JJ Fields (Sav Palaktsoglou)has been an active player in the Adelaide Blues scene since 1989 and was awarded the coveted SA Blues Player of the Year Award in 2008. He played with the Streamliners, Blind Dog Taylor & the Heat and has shared the bill with Junior Wells, Canned Heat, Eric Burdon, the Fabulous Thunderbirds, and many others
He currently plays in the T-Bones and acoustic duo’’Frankie and Savva’’
His solo playing style is best described as old school with variations. He plays finger-picking style on 12-string and 6-string acoustic guitars that takes the listener back to the blues maestros of the 20s and 30s, with an original style and refreshing approach.
