What is a Side By Side show?
Unlike most shows where each artist performs a set, the three of us will be on stage together at the same time and taking turns sharing our songs and some of the stories behind them. This often leads to some pretty magical and deeply connected moments where we will play along with each other, some singalongs with the audience and the show can go in any direction at anytime based on 'the vibe'.
That's it really. CONNECTION, VIBE and IMPROMPTU. The way live music should be.
HERE'S A BIT MORE ABOUT EACH OF US
RICKI WOOD
Ricki Wood is an Australian country folk and acoustic singer-songwriter known for honest songwriting, strong musicianship and a deep connection with his audience. A seasoned performer, Ricki brings a relaxed but confident stage presence, balancing storytelling and song in a way that invites audiences in without overstatement. Whether performing solo or collaborating with other artists, his focus is always on connection — between the music, the room and the people in it.
“Emotive, heartfelt, authentic”
Dallas Frasca
“I recently discovered Ricki Wood on the north coast of NSW. I just love his stuff. Lovely voice. Great musicianship.” Normie Rowe
SHANLEIGH ROSE
An enchanting storyteller and captivating performer, Shanleigh Rose has established herself as a formidable force in the world of music.
From a young age, Shanleigh was surrounded — and inspired — by the enchanting melodies of folk, country, and pop music—notably inspired by legendary artists such as Taylor Swift, Hozier, The Civil Wars & Kasey Chambers. Growing up in the picturesque town of Maleny, Shanleigh found solace and inspiration in the natural beauty surrounding her which came to influence the vivid imagery and storytelling nature of her lyrics.
With songwriting at the forefront of her musical passions, Shanleigh continues to enthrall audiences and amass critical acclaim for her perplexing lyricism and idiosyncratic yet catchy melodies. Shanleigh’s lyrics place you in an entirely new world, watching the story play out as viscerally as if you were there to witness it, while her melodies weave their way into your mind, leaving you to hum the hook even days after hearing the song.
HENRY CATANIA
At just 15, emerging artist Henry Catania is making waves on the Australian festival circuit. Based in Conondale, QLD, he began busking on the Sunshine Coast and now plays regular gigs and festivals, including Gympie, Caloundra and Tamworth. In 2025, he was a Top 20 Busker at Tamworth, graduated the CMAA Junior Academy and a student of TDP. He’s placed in multiple talent comps and released two singles in 2024. With a growing reputation for original songs and hard work, another big year lies ahead with pending appearances at several prominent festivals, and new music on the way.
