To acknowledge and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures, all community members are invited to the City of Gosnells NAIDOC Flag Raising Ceremony.The City of Gosnells is proud to recognise this year’s national theme, “50 Years Deadly.” Marking five decades of NAIDOC Week, this milestone celebrates the enduring strength, resilience and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It is both a reflection and a celebration — acknowledging the generations of organisers, artists, activists, Elders and communities who have shaped NAIDOC into what it is today, and ensured it remains grounded in culture, truth and connection.
The Flag Raising Ceremony will feature the official raising of the Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and Australian flags, traditional dance, the opening of the NAIDOC Art Exhibition followed by a light lunch.
