Charity Preview - Aria
By David Williamson
Directed by Susan Turner
Hosted by Zonta Club of Botany Bay
A symphony of discord unfolds at Monique's annual family gathering, celebrating her three beloved sons' birthdays. While adoration for her boys knows no bounds, disdain for their wives is palpable. Festivities crescendo and Monique takes the spotlight with a performance of a renowned opera Aria. But beneath the facade of familial harmony, dissonance brews. David Williamson's Aria is a darkly comedic exploration of the intricate dynamics and rivalry inherit within every family.
Proceeds from the Theatre Preview night go towards the ongoing work of Zonta Club of Botany Bay as well as the Top Blokes Foundation.
This is an Australian based non-government organisation that addresses young men and boys aged 10-24 years, running programs to break down stereotypes to empower the next generation of 'Top Blokes', fostering communities where trust, respect and multiple definitions of masculinity thrive.
