DIY BODY SCRUB WORKSHOP
About
Join us for a fun and creative hands-on workshop where you'll learn how to transform used coffee grounds into a beautifully scented natural body scrub. Perfect as a sustainable gift or a treat for yourself, this workshop demonstrates how everyday materials can be repurposed to reduce waste and create effective homemade skincare products. This 1.5-hour workshop introduces participants to natural, environmentally friendly and cost-effective alternatives to commercially packaged personal care products. Through an engaging presentation, participants will learn about the ingredients used, best practices for making and storing products, and how to source materials locally and sustainably.
Each participant will make and take home their own body scrub in a reusable jar. The workshop will also provide an introduction to other DIY personal care products, including a room spritzer, face mask, body cream and natural deodorant, inspiring participants to continue their low-waste journey at home.
This workshop is proudly supported by the Shire of Broome and WasteSorted, and facilitated by Donut Waste. It is suitable for anyone interested in sustainable living, reducing household waste and learning practical DIY alternatives for personal care.
