Bacchus Marsh Grammar – Senior School Play
Throughout the year, students involved in the Senior School Play Enrichment Program have been rehearsing and preparing to perform Buckets by Adam Barnard.Buckets is a contemporary ensemble play made up of a series of short, connected scenes exploring time, choice, relationships, mortality, and the feeling that time is always running out. The play is funny, thoughtful and moving, and allows students to work creatively as an ensemble to shape characters, moments and meaning on stage.
This play has been developed as a student-led enrichment program, under the guidance of Performing Arts staff. Students have taken creative ownership of the rehearsal process by blocking scenes, developing character choices, refining transitions, collaborating with peers, and contributing to the overall shape of the performance. The program will culminate in a one-night-only event, with a public performance on Monday 24 August at 6:30pm in Wilson Hall, Maddingley Campus.
