Join us via Zoom as we celebrate the release of Rebel Girls: Uplifting Stories About Courageous Young Women, edited by Sybilla Claus and published by Spinifex Press.Rebel Girls brings together 50 contributors from around the world to explore the realities facing girls today. Through personal stories, expert commentary and critical reflection, the collection examines issues including sexism, bullying, body image, mental wellbeing, education, identity, and the pressures confronting girls in contemporary society.
The book highlights the experiences of girls and women who have challenged stereotypes, found their own paths, and continue to advocate for autonomy, confidence and equality.
Sybilla Claus will be joined in conversation by Bev Jackson, co-founder of LGB Alliance, and Australian author, speaker and activist Melinda Tankard Reist.
This online event is free to attend, but registration is essential.
Please pay close attention to time zones. This launch is primarily intended for audiences in Australia, New Zealand, Asia and Europe. A separate launch for audiences in the Americas will be held in the coming months.
