WITILA KAIYU – “Sing Strong” is family-friendly event celebrating Awabakal language and culture. Featuring cultural performances and dancers, live music and entertainers, and a relaxed community BBQ where everyone can share food and stories. Community market stalls will showcase local makers and handmade goods, creating opportunities to support local businesses. Throughout the afternoon there will be a dedicated language and culture session, along with plenty of time for yarning, networking and building ongoing community connections.Event timetable (2:00 pm – 5:00 pm):
• 2:00 pm: Community market stalls open
• 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm: Business and community networking session (register)
• 3:00 pm – 3:30 pm: Awabakal language and culture session (optional)
• 3:30 pm: Traditional dance performance
• 3:45 pm – 5:00 pm: Live music
• 4:30 pm: Community BBQ begins
