A community event in celebration of the winter solstice where we celebrate the longest nights and shortest days of the year. The committee has organised a wonderful line up of fun, including fire pits, live music, activities, freshly-made pizzas, hearty soups, baked sweet treats, hot chocolate and mulled wine for the adults. TheirCare is running a free lantern-making workshop for the children and at dusk, the children will form a lantern parade.Families can pre-order soup and pizza. Our pizzas will be prepared and cooked fresh on-site by a wonderful team of volunteers. Pre-orders help us plan ingredients and staffing, but we're a group of enthusiastic parents and helpers—not professional pizza chefs! At times, there may be a wait for your pizza. We appreciate your patience and support as we work our way through the orders. Gather with friends around the fire or at a table with a drink or some soup, enjoy the festivities, and know that your pizza won't be too far away.
