About
The Mobile Genetic Elements Meeting is the premier forum for MGE research in Australia, and is organized by the Australian Society for Microbiology’s MGE Special Interest Group, MGE AUS. We are a community-focused organisation committed to advancing the study of mobile elements within Australia.Our meeting brings together leading experts, early-career researchers (ECRs), and students in a supportive environment designed to foster deep collaboration. We provide a unique platform where ECRs and students can showcase finished projects or present work-in-progress, offering an invaluable opportunity to engage with the community and receive constructive feedback across all stages of research. If your science involves transposable or integrative elements, plasmids, or bacteriophages you will find a welcoming space to share your work, build new connections, and learn about the latest MGE developments.
This is a two-day event, held at the University of Queensland.
