Sing With The Poppies Workshops
About
The Poppies is a contemporary, skilled, a cappella choir which sings songs from a wide range of eras to the present. They will present a two-part workshop series where participants can learn intricate yet accessible a cappella music. Featuring music by The Beatles, Sara Bareilles, Fleet Foxes, Sweet Honey In The Rock & more!The workshops will culminate in a performance during the Poppies’ concert the following week, where participants will join the ensemble on
stage for selected songs as part of a wider program featuring The Poppies’ delightful pop repertoire. While our repertoire is currently performed by female voices, the workshops are open to everyone - as long as you can carry a note, we'll find one that fits your range!
Participants must attend both workshops.
Workshop dates: Sunday August 9 & 16,
Time: 2-4pm
Concert: Sunday August 23rd, 3 - 4pm, performers meet at 2pm
