Year 5 Health Night
About
Year 5 Let’s talk: Body Confidence & Period PowerDear Parents,
As part of our Year Five Health curriculum, our students learn about puberty and the changes their bodies will undergo as they grow into young women. These changes are covered in class with the classroom teacher, and we will also be holding a parent/daughter session for Year 5 girls and parents. The purpose of the evening is to provide you with some insight into the material that has been presented to your daughter at school, to further your daughter’s understanding of a variety of issues associated with puberty and to open the channels of communication about the many influences and contemporary issues that impact upon pre-adolescents.
The session will be held in the Betty Caldwell Hall in Junior School, on Tuesday, 28 July commencing at 6.00pm and will conclude by 7.30pm. It will be presented by Emma Tabacaru, a published author, educator and founder of “Pippin Girl”.
