Judes: The Youth SHIFT
About
A shared vision for the cityWhat shifts might be needed if we are to make Launceston Australia's healthiest city for young people?
Across our city, incredible work is already taking place through churches, schools, sporting clubs, mentoring initiatives, youth spaces, and community organisations.
Yet young people are facing a growing wellbeing crisis, and we are not seeing what we all hope to see.
The Youth SHIFT is a curated gathering of pastors, Christian leaders, practitioners, and community voices exploring what it might look like to strengthen the relational fabric surrounding young people across our city.
Together we'll explore:
- youth flourishing and wellbeing
- evangelism, justice, and community presence
- the role of schools, sport, neighbourhoods, and everyday mission
- the shifts required to help make Launceston Australia's healthiest city for young people
We're delighted that James Baker and Tim Costello will be joining us. Together they will help us explore the intersection of youth wellbeing, evangelism, justice, neighbouring, and human flourishing.
This is not a fundraising event.
It is an invitation into shared conversation, imagination, and responsibility around the future of young people in our city.
The event is free to attend and includes lunch prepared by the Tailrace Centre team.
I'd genuinely love for you to be there. I'd also encourage you to bring some key members of your team to share in the conversation. We'd love to see leadership teams represented where possible.
Please RSVP by Wednesday 15 July.
When registering, please let us know if you have any dietary requirements.
Look forward to seeing you there.
