Tani Tei En is an 11-acre private garden in Currumbin Valley and first opened to the public in 2010. Opening only every second year, it's a rare chance to wander through rainforest walks, themed plantings, metal sculptures and a restored dairy, all centred on a Japanese-style garden with a lake, waterfall, and a tea house cantilevered over the pond. Time it right and you may catch the cherry blossoms in bloom.Food trucks, a coffee cart and plant sales run across the weekend, and all proceeds from the event go to charity.
