Travelling North
Frank is 70. He wants to travel north; to escape the cold. Frances, his girlfriend, is twenty years younger and is worried about leaving her daughters, who think Frank just wants someone to look after him.
They could be right - but Frances takes the chance and they move to a rustic, rundown cottage in North Queensland where they meet Freddy, a helpful neighbour, and the local doctor Saul... who picks up on Frank's heart condition. It appears life isn't going to be quite as easy as they thought!
Written in the 1970s, this is one of David Williamson's more serious plays albeit with
some of Davidson's distinctive one-liners. It's about love, aging - and the complexities of family relationships.
