Following our incredible inaugural event on the Central Coast, the Learn Play Thrive Pedagogy in Practice: Early Education Conference is coming to Tamworth, NSW this August!Join us in person to explore innovative, evidence-based ways to enrich play-based learning for children aged birth to 6 years. This year, we are proud to present the conference in a special partnership with Birrelee MACS Aboriginal Early Childhood Long Day Care, bringing a unique depth, culture and community connection to our program. You'll ;eave with a toolkit full of practical ideas ready for your early years classroom!

Day 1 - Connecting to Country: Aboriginal Cultural Immersion Day, Friday 14th August 2026
A powerful foundation for the weekend’s learning. This day features a traditional smoking ceremony, bush tucker talk, tour of Birrelee MACS long day care centre, and mentoring experience. Pairing regional and metropolitan educators with local First Nations ECT's, together you'll engage in peer-to-peer mentoring to share knowledge and discuss engaging and respectful ways of embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into early childhood education.
You'll also enjoy a beautifully curated morning tea & lunch celebrating local, native ingredients that connect us to Country.
Day 2: The Main Conference – Pedagogy in Practice, Saturday 15th August 2026
Dive into 5 dynamic sessions designed to bridge the gap between theory and real-world application. Each session follows a high-engagement, two-part structure consisting of a 40-minute expert presentation followed immediately by a 30-minute interactive, hands-on application where you get to explore, play, and create!
We’ll also close the day with a thought-provoking panel dissecting 'Pedagogy in Practice', recorded LIVE for the Learn Play Thrive Podcast!
