The Matter of Facts at Gosnells Library
About
Many people now use social media as their main source of information for news and current events. But how do we know that we can trust what we’re shown? When technology makes it so easy to create fake images and footage, how do we know what’s true and what’s false?
The Matter of Facts is a new TV series on the ABC, hosted by Australian journalist Hamish Macdonald. The 3-episode series explores the impact that mis/disinformation, fake news, and artificial intelligence is having on our minds, our lives, and our democracy.
Join us for The Matter of Facts workshop, where you’ll improve your digital literacy and learn practical tips for spotting fake information online.
