All ICU staff are warmly invited to attend the ICU Staff Forum, where we come together to reflect on the year that's been and look ahead to the future of our ICU.
This year's forum will include:
• A keynote address from our CEO, including an update on the formation of Bayside Health
• A special guest address from Dr Liz Crowe
• A presentation of the new ICU redevelopment on Level 2 Phillip Block
• A patient presentation
• A review of our challenges and achievements from the past year and gather suggestions moving forward
• An opportunity to connect, share ideas, and shape our path forward
We are delighted to welcome Dr Liz Crowe as our special guest speaker. Liz is a social worker, researcher, and wellbeing leader with decades of experience in paediatric critical care, specialising in crisis, trauma, grief, and bereavement. Following her PhD exploring the risk and protective factors for staff wellbeing, she now serves as Director of Staff Wellbeing at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, and leads a consultancy focused on interpersonal skills, leadership, and organisational systems. An Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Queensland, Liz has authored more than 30 publications in staff wellbeing. An academic, author, podcaster, educator, debriefing advocate, and proud disruptor — Liz challenges healthcare to think differently about people, culture, and wellbeing.
It would be great to see you all there.
Refreshments will be provided.
