Enrolment: Please make a separate booking for each child, if more than one being registered for Confirmation, as you will be required to fill in the information for each candidate.
3. The Sponsor must be a practising Catholic, who is a fully-initiated member of the Catholic church (i.e. has completed their Sacraments, being Confirmation, Reconciliation and First Communion) and is over the age of 16. It is desirable that the Godparent at Baptism, if present, also be the Sponsor at Confirmation. A parent cannot be the Sponsor. A suitable adult may 'stand-in' as a proxy on the day for the Sponsor, e.g. if the Godparent cannot attend.

PROGRAM DATES:
Parents’ Welcome and Information Evening: Compulsory attendance by one parent/carer (children are not required to attend, but can if necessary) at one of these Evenings, or prior arrangement made by contacting Sally.
Wednesday 23 September, 7.00pm or Wednesday 14th October, 7.00pm-8.15pm at Holy Name Church, 35 Billyard Ave, Wahroonga
This is a compulsory evening for one parent or carer, not for children. Please bring (or, preferably, email to Sally): a copy of the candidate’s Baptismal Certificate and a photo for display in the church. Please enrol your child online before this evening, if possible. You must contact Sally if, despite your best efforts, you or another family member/carer cannot attend one of these evenings. If you need to bring your child along, please let Sally know beforehand.
Group Leaders’ Training: Please let Sally know if you can support the Program by volunteering to be a Group Leader. Small group lessons will be held at Prouille School each week, led by Group Leaders, fully supported by Sally. Group Leaders must attend the Training Evening with Sally on Tuesday 20th October, 7pm in the Church Sunroom.
Preparation Lessons: Weekly Lessons and Masses are all compulsory for the candidate plus a parent/carer. However, sometimes life happens so please contact Sally if attendance is not possible, so a catch up can be arranged.
These are held at Prouille School, 5 Water St, Wahroonga. Everyone meets as a group with Sally in the School Hall each week, prior to breaking into the small groups for the lesson.

Lesson 2: Saturday 31st October at 3.45pm
Lesson 3: Saturday 7th November at 3.45pm
Lesson 4: Saturday 14th November at 3.45pm,
** with each lesson followed by 5.00pm Mass at Church, then a sausage sizzle for all
Please communicate with Sally if any issue arises.
Practice: Wednesday, 18 November, 6pm at the Church. Compulsory attendance for all Candidates. Sponsors may attend, which is helpful, but it is not compulsory.
Celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation: Saturday 21st November 2026 at Holy Name Church Time TBA (afternoon)
