BCWA | 2026 Response Officer Training (In-Person)
About
BCWA provides Response Officer Training annually as part of the recognition that as Response Officers and those responsible for dealing with these types of issues in your churches, it is important to be continually looking to upskill ourselves in how to work through the ‘messy’ issues that come up in churches. It is for this reason that we encourage pastors and leaders to sign up for this training every year as we work hard to make this training a valuable experience for everyone involved. While we will spend some time refreshing the basics of being a Response Officer, we use this training to look at different topics and skills every year. We also seek to update leaders about new legislation or upcoming issues that may affect churches.
During the training this year, some of the topics we will be covering include a review of the roles and responsibilities of the Response Officer and the Governing body of churches, a further focus on domestic and family violence and as always, we will be working through some scenarios that will help you to put these learnings into some real-life contexts.
We encourage you to bring along as many of your team as possible to this training, including any potential leaders you may be working with to help build their understanding of this vital area.
