About
LCCB / BBBB Jazz Intensive will be an amazing opportunity to hone our skills. In the morning, Burns Bay Big Band will have a full band rehearsal to work on overall repertoire before the upcoming performance at Lazybones Lounge. New and interested members are welcome to join an early ‘superband’ followed by a smaller group to work on simpler repertoire as an introduction to jazz ensembles.In the afternoon there will be small group breakout sessions to focus on developing jazz improvisation skills in a structured and supportive environment. We will focus on this in small groups to encourage confidence and to allow the time for experimentation and practice of new techniques. Musicians will work closely with tutors to reach new levels of confidence and expression in their jazz playing.
