Off Grid Art Club - For Teens!! - Printmaking - Term 3 2026
About
Get creative, get inky, and discover the exciting world of printmaking in this fun 6-week course designed especially for tweens and teens aged 11-17.Whether you're new to printmaking or already love making art, this hands-on course will introduce you to a range of exciting techniques while building creative confidence and practical studio skills.
Throughout the term you'll learn how to use a traditional printmaking press and professional printmaking inks while exploring three unique processes:
• Lino Block Printing on Fabric – Design and carve your own lino block before printing onto a tote bag, T-shirt or fabric item to create wearable art that's uniquely yours.
• Drypoint Perspex Etching – Scratch detailed drawings into Perspex plates and produce beautiful hand-pulled prints full of rich lines and texture.
• Monoprinting – Experiment with colour, layering and expressive mark-making to create one-of-a-kind prints using playful, painterly techniques.
As your skills grow, you'll learn about composition, texture, positive and negative space, colour, and image-making while gaining confidence using professional printmaking equipment in a real studio environment.
Print Lab is also a chance to step away from screens, slow down, and immerse yourself in making something by hand. It's a welcoming space where young artists can experiment, solve creative challenges, meet like-minded friends, and enjoy the satisfaction of seeing their own designs transformed into original prints.
Perfect for:
• Tweens and teens who love making art
