About

The Office of Medical Research and Innovation (OMRI) is pleased to host the fourth event in its 2026 OMRI Speaker Series, featuring Professor Mirko Uljarevic, a Future Health Research and Innovation (FHRI) Fund Distinguished Fellow.

The OMRI Speaker Series provides a regular forum for thought leadership, discussion and sector‑wide engagement across Western Australia’s health and medical research and innovation ecosystem.

In this session, Professor Uljarevic will present on Transforming the clinical pathway for children with autism and neurodevelopmental conditions: from big data to novel assessments.

Drawing on his FHRI Fund Distinguished Fellowship program, Professor Uljarevic will share insights into the development of a new generation of assessment tools designed to support screening, characterisation and intervention matching across both clinical and research contexts.

The session will explore how advances in data and assessment approaches can inform more personalised and effective pathways for children with autism and related neurodevelopmental conditions, with implications for both health services and research.

Participation is encouraged either in person or online. This event will be delivered as a hybrid session, with opportunities for both in‑room and virtual engagement.
