In this workshop you will make a piece, similar to those shown, employing the following techniques: making cordage, twining and weavingYou will be encouraged to work with a number of different natural and processed fibres. All materials are supplied, but please bring anything that you might particularly like to use within the piece, or any fibres of interest that you might like to share.
Your tutor, Adrienne Murray, has extensive experience teaching adults, including teaching of quilting and basketry techniques. Since taking a workshop with Harriet Goodall at ‘Grampians Textures’ earlier this year Adrienne has been finding different ways to incorporate metal (predominantly rusted metal) with various aspects of basketry.
All materials are included in the price. Tea and coffee are provided.
