Fr. Richard Leonard S.J. is a highly accomplished Jesuit priest with extensive experience in theology, education, and film. Holding a PhD from the University of Melbourne and studies from the London Film School, he directed the Australian Catholic Office for Film and Broadcasting for 22 years. He has served on juries at major international film festivals, including Cannes and Venice, and held visiting scholar/professor roles at UCLA and the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome.
A prolific author of 13 books, including "Why God?", Fr. Richard is a regular columnist for The London Tablet, contributes to America Magazine and Eureka Street, and is a frequent ABC Radio guest. He currently serves as the parish priest of North Sydney/Lavender Bay/Kirribilli.
