2026 Performance troupe

After six enormously successful years of performance squad we are offering this again to students. The troupe will take part in two numbers within Astra Adventures:The first number will create atmosphere and build energy and excitement for the show, the second dance will be a party scene full of celebration. The performance troupe as is tradition will make a tunnel for the final bows whilst all children board the spaceship. The students who we are interested in being in this group will perform in 5 – 6 of the Astra’s shows over the show weekend November 27 – 29. The students will need to be able to dance and be incredibly professional as performers may need to modify performances if needed, work under pressure, and perform at a high standard over a long period of time. They also need to be autonomous when they are not performing. Children are supervised by adults over the whole show weekend. We will have 4 Sunday rehearsals at Tingalpa State Primary School. Children will be split into two groups to rehearse for the 11 shows. A red group and a purple group will be created. These groups will be designated once we know numbers. Each group however will have a full day of performing over the course of the show weekend. Which means you need to dedicate either the 28th Saturday or the 29th Sunday from 8am to 7.30pm at night performing. One group will also do the show on Friday the 29th of November.
