2026 Writers Festival Launch & Parents' Night
Join us for the launch of the Rosalie Writers Festival - The Write Adventure - as we speak to authors Mohammed Massoud Morsi and Emily Tsokos Purtill. Morsi is a photographer and journalist with Danish roots, an Egyptian soul and now writes in Perth. His new novel, The Hair of the Pigeon, is a story of love, war, father figures and brotherhood set in the Palestinian communities of Syria, across the Mediterranean and finally, Denmark. Emily is a local author and lawyer with a Greek heart. Her novel, Matia, returns to the past and leaps into the future, spanning 125 years. Matia examines complex mother-daughter relationships and the fate of four generations of Greek-Australian women living in Greece, Perth and New York.
