About
At our Salsa Sundays at Sole Latino, we run our Absolute Beginner class and a Beginner class from 6pm-7pm, and our Intermediate class from 7pm-8pm.If you’re completely new to salsa, we recommend starting with our Absolute Beginner class. ️
Our Absolute Beginner class will take you through the salsa partner work essentials. Over the full course, you will learn:
- Weight transfer
- Basic steps (side, back, forward)
- Frame position (open & close)
- Hand pronation
- Cross body
- Right turn
- Left turn
Our Beginner class will teach you the foundational footwork, turns, and transitions with a partner. Over the full course, you will learn:
- Right turn variations
- Left turn variations
- Open break
- Right turn complicato
- Right travelling turn
- Left travelling turn
- Cross-over uomo
- Cross-over donna
- Cross reverse
- 360
- Pikabu
- Basket
- Broma
- Graduation sequence
Our Intermediate class will enable you to develop a strong sense of rhythm and polarity. We will take you through longer combos based on techniques studied in previous levels.
