About the Show
Written by acclaimed pantomime playwright Ben Crocker, this play delivers a perfect blend of comedy, charm, and classic panto magic.
The love story is great fun, with a playful “will they, won’t they?” tension bubbling between Rapunzel and her eager would‑be rescuer, Rudi.
Witch Gothel is a gloriously wicked villain, supported by her wonderfully unhinged sidekick Waylon — a chaotic pet weasel who unpredictably shifts between human size and weasel size, creating endless comic moments.
Nannie Hilda and her son Max round out the show as a hilarious double act, with Max’s utterly ridiculous scouting “skills” somehow managing to save the day in the most unexpected ways.
For eighteen years, Princess Rapunzel has been hidden away in a tower by the wicked Witch Gothel. With the help of the lovable Dame Hilda, her scouting-obsessed son Max, and the charming Rudi O'Malley, a daring adventure unfolds to rescue Rapunzel and restore her to her rightful place. Along the way there are laughs, surprises, outrageous characters, and a wonderfully tangled love story.
