Once upon a time, the princesses waited to be rescued. Not this time.This year's Variety Night takes the fairy tales you think you know and turns them completely upside down. Cinderella is a social media influencer with three million followers and a secret she's ashamed of. Sleeping Beauty wakes up to find her friends have grown up and moved on without her. Snow White doesn't want to be the fairest — she wants to study quantum physics. And the Not-so-evil Queen? She's in therapy, trying to silence the mirror that has controlled her whole life.
Told through powerful scenes, stunning dance, live music and a whole lot of heart, Not such a Fairytale is a show about identity, belonging, courage and what it really means to rewrite your own story. It's funny, moving, surprising — and ultimately a celebration of every girl who has ever felt like she didn't quite fit the role the world had in mind for her.
